EXCITING PROSPECT BROWN EXTENDS LIONS CONTRACT

02 September 2020

Swinton Lions are delighted to announce that Tayler Brown has agreed a new one-year deal with the club for the 2021 season.

Swinton Lions are delighted to announce that our highly promising second-row forward Tayler Brown has agreed a new one-year deal for the 2021 Championship season.

Tayler, who will turn 21 in October, came through the junior ranks at Warrington and joined the Lions last autumn, but of course his chances have since been severely restricted by the pandemic. However, Tayler did make his senior bow in the cup tie against Leigh Miners Rangers in February, and he also played impressively for the joint Salford-Swinton reserve team ahead of lockdown.

Upon putting pen-to-paper Tayler Brown said, I’m so honoured to have signed once again at Swinton Lions. Unfortunately because the season was cut short I didn’t get much chance to play, however I’m now looking forward to getting back at it.

“I’m excited at the thought of getting back together with the lads at training and then to have a good season on the pitch. Hopefully we can then make up for missing the majority of this season because I’ve missed it so much this year.”

“WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING HIM MAKE A REAL IMPACT”

The Lions’ Head Coach, Stuart Littler, added, “It’s yet another piece of positive recruitment news with Tayler agreeing to a new contract with us.

“This season was to be Tayler’s first out of the academy leagues and before lockdown he was already transitioning well into our team. We did not get to see too much of him earlier this year, but we are all looking forward to seeing him out there in 2021.

“Tayler is a big lad who is dedicated to his fitness levels, and we will keep working hard with him and support him into making that big breakthrough.

“I am delighted that he has agreed to continue the journey with us, and we look forward to seeing him make a real impact in 2021.”
