BROWN SIGNS WITH LIONS FOR 2020

23 November 2019

Tayler Brown has signed a one-year contract with the Lions for the 2020 season.

Swinton Lions RLFC is delighted to announce the signing of Tayler Brown for the 2020 Betfred Championship season.

Brown, 20, came through Newton Storm amateur club as a youngster before joining Warrington Wolves development programme from the age of 15, progressing through their Academy Teams.

The big forward will link up with the Lions for pre-season ahead of the 2020 Betfred Championship season.

“I’m honoured to have signed with Swinton Lions,” said Brown.

“It’s really exciting for me to be given the chance to play for the Lions.

“As for the team mates, I’m really eager to meet them all and getting involved.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing what the future brings and what additions I can bring to the team myself this year.

“After a long break I’m ready to get back into things an rip into pre-season.”

On the latest signing, head coach Stuart Littler added: “I am delighted to have got another over the line. Another young talent who is looking to develop and progress with us at Swinton. Tayler again maps into our ethos of being young, hungry and someone who buys into our clubs family values.

“Tayler has been pretty consistent in his performances for Warrington Academy and this was highlighted late in the season when Tayler scored a few tries in the game against our partner club, Wigan’s formidable academy side.

“Tayler has a very good frame and has good leg drive post contact. I am excited about getting him into our system and assisting him to take the next steps needed to succeed.

“There are challenges ahead but I am sure with Tayler’s attitude he can succeed.”
