WHITE SWAN HOTEL BACKS THE LIONS

The club is delighted to confirm the White Swan Hotel in Swinton as a shirt sponsor for the 2020 Betfred Championship season.

Swinton Lions RLFC is delighted to confirm another significant 2020 shirt sponsor, the White Swan Hotel in Swinton.

This venue will already be well known to Lions’ fans as a spiritual base, whilst no one can deny the dramatic transformation of the White Swan under the leadership of Lindsey Smethills and her current management team. 

Lindsey is of course also a recent addition to the Lions’ Board, and in that capacity she has already made a significant and positive impact on commercial revenues whilst supporting that side of the business. She said, “I am really thrilled to not only have joined the club as a Director, but also to be supporting the club as a Sponsor. The White Swan has become a huge success story over the past couple of years, and through that it’s nice to be able to support my home town club in a practical way.

“My dad played Rugby League professionally, so I do have knowledge of the sport. It’s a game which unites communities, and that of course is something I’m familiar with. I’m really looking forward to the excitement that the 2020 season will bring with the Lions.”

Swinton Lions Operations Director, Steve Wild, added, ”No one should under-estimate the significant contribution being made to the Lions by Lindsey and the White Swan. As a member of our management team Lindsey herself has already opened up a large number of business opportunities, whilst as a commercial partner the sponsorship deal is of significant value.
