LIONS SUPPORT WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY

21 March 2018

The Lions will be supporting World Down Syndrome Day during Sunday’s game against London Broncos.

Today marks the celebration of World Down Syndrome Day, and people all over the globe have been acknowledging the occasion by wearing odd socks.

Around 40,000 people in the United Kingdom have Down Syndrome, and about 1 in 1,000 babies will be born with the genetic disorder. Down’s syndrome affects people of all ages, races, religious and economic situations.

At Swinton Lions we would like to offer our own support to Down Syndrome International, by our players wearing odd socks in Sunday’s match against London Broncos. Why not join the players by showing your support in wearing odd socks too?
