LIONS SIGN PROMISING YOUNGSTER

16 November 2017

The club is delighted to announce the arrival of our latest recruit, the highly promising Conor Taylor.

Conor can play at half-back or three-quarter, and will therefore give us added options right across the back-line for the forthcoming season.

Conor initially emerged through the renowned set-up at Wigan St Patrick’s, but joins us from the Warrington Academy, where he has spent the last year.

Head Coach Stuart Littler said of his latest capture, “All the feedback and video footage that I’ve reviewed on Connor has been very positive, and after meeting him I soon appreciated that he would be someone that I’d be excited to work with and help develop.

“Conor adds a good utility value to our squad as he can competently cover numerous positions. Conor also maps into our ethos of providing an opportunity to talented youngsters.”

Conor was thrilled at the chance to join the professional ranks with the Lions. He said, “I’m grateful for the opportunity that I’ve been given to join Swinton. When I met with Stuart I really liked the direction he wanted to take the club in and I now want to be a part of it. I’m looking forward to a tough pre-season and getting to know the lads properly. In fact I can’t wait to get stuck in!”
