Ryan Gray has agreed to a new one-year deal with Swinton Lions for 2020.
Swinton Lions RLFC is delighted to announce the re-signing of winger Ryan Gray for the 2020 Betfred Championship season.
Gray, 21, originally joined the Lions late in the 2018 season from Leigh East after impressing on trial, and made his professional debut on the wing against Leigh Centurions at the Leigh Sports Village. He scored his first try a fortnight later against Featherstone Rovers.
“I would like to thank Stuart Littler for the opportunity to work with him and his staff again this year,” said Ryan.
“I’m glad to be back with the lads and to push for another good season with the team.”
Gray also featured in play-off win over Workington at the end of 2018, and scored a try in opening game of season at Sheffield in 2019.
On the news, head coach Littler added “It is great news that Ryan has agreed to stay on with us.
“I know Ryan struggled with appearances last year, but some of this was due to untimely illnesses and injury.
“Ryan is a good kid from a good family and brings with him some good values.
“He has never been any trouble and is still keen to progress and learn. The challenge for Ryan is to nail down a place in our side. We will support him fully in the pursuit of a jersey.
“Welcome back, Ryan.”
