16 October 2019

Allan Coleman has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

Swinton Lions is delighted to announce that Allan Coleman has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

The assistant coach joined the Lions ahead of the 2019 season and played a major role in the success on the field.

On the new deal, Coleman said: “I am grateful for the extension from the club, something I am really looking forward to after last year.”

“It’s important we go bigger and better next year. Working with Stuart has helped me personally and I have learnt so much.

“The fans are awesome, so we just want to thank them as well and give them something to cheer about.”

During the off season, Coleman has been involved in England Community Lions.

Backroom staff Lindsey Watkins, Chris Wharton and Dougie Owen have all also extended their stay by another two years.

Head coach Stuart Littler added: “I am absolutely delighted to be able to announce the re-signing of all of our performance staff.

“This is a pivotal piece of business as each member is very important to our future. Our staff work so hard and for that I am forever thankful.

“We have a good group and we are very close. We all strive to improve this club and our on field performances. Last year we improved significantly but the battle now is to maintain momentum and to continue to move our club forwards. Everyone is working hard behind the scenes and we should have more good news stories over the coming days.

“It is time for every Swinton Lions fan to pull together and join us on our journey.”
