Swinton Lions RLFC are delighted to announce the signing of forward Jordan Brown from Widnes Vikings.

The latest exciting signing announcement at Swinton Lions is Jordan Brown from Widnes Vikings.

Jordan, who turned 20 last month, was born at Warrington, and came through the junior ranks at the Wolves before signing for our Championship rivals Widnes.

Jordan was thrilled to be joining the Lions. He said, “I’m made up to have been given the opportunity to sign for Swinton and I can’t wait to knuckle down and meet the boys in pre-season.

“Then hopefully get my foot in the door with a first team place once play starts next year.”

“We see a lot of potential for growth and development in him”

Lions’ Head Coach Stuart Littler believes that Jordan’s capture could prove to be a very shrewd piece of business. He said, Our squad is really taking shape now and Jordan’s signing adds to the competition for starting shirts.

“He is a good size athlete and can competently cover both the middle and back-row positions up front. Jordan has played in the academy and reserves at Widnes after being part of the Warrington scholarship scheme.

“We are really looking forward to getting to work with Jordan as we see a lot of potential in him.

“He’s another highly promising young talent that meets our recruitment profile. Welcome to the Lions Jordan!”
