A LIONS’ HERITAGE NIGHT

11 November 2019

Swinton Lions RLFC is proud to present the latest update for this month’s heritage night.

A night celebrating the wonderful heritage of Swinton Lions takes place on Thursday 28 November 201at Swinton Legion starting at 7-30pm.

The event is organised by the Swinton Lions Supporters’ Trust with two themes highlighting the 1969 Lancashire Cup Final triumph and the club during the First World War.

There will be a Q&A session with past players from 50 years ago as well as a presentation on the club’s players from 100 years ago.

Tickets are priced at only £5 per person, which includes a pie and peas supper.  Also, there will be a raffle with the usual number of great prizes.

On the night, Swinton Lions and Trust merchandise will hopefully be available to purchase ahead of Christmas as well as a Rugby League book and programme stall.

This event is being held by the Trust to raise funds that will ultimately go to the Club as part of their on-going financial commitments for the 2020 season.  This includes covering the cost of the training facilities at the AJ Bell Stadium and away team coach travel amongst other things.

Tickets (£5 each) and further details are available from tracey.swintonlions@yahoo.com which can be posted or even delivered to local addresses. Tickets will also be available at the Bingo afternoon’s in November and the Trust AGM on the 12th November at the White Lion, Swinton.

This Heritage Night takes place at Swinton Legion, 1a Cheetham Road, Swinton, Manchester, M27 4UR on Thursday 28 November 2019 starting at 7-30pm.
