*Over 200 Girls Take Part in Manchester Swinton Lionesses Girls Development Pathway*

The Manchester Swinton Lionesses Girls u11-16s Development Pathway has enjoyed a hugely successful programme this summer, with more than 200 girls taking part across three development sessions.

Designed to support the growth of the women’s and girls game, each session focused on core skill development and small sided skill games, giving players the opportunity to develop their technical and tactical ability, decision making and confidence in a fun, engaging environment.

The quality on display throughout all three sessions was outstanding. Players demonstrated excellent skill levels, embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and showed a fantastic attitude towards learning and developing their game.

Manchester Swinton Lionesses Head Coach, John Whalley, said:
“It has been a pleasure to lead this programme and see so many girls enjoying rugby league while developing their skills.
The commitment, enthusiasm and positive attitudes shown by every player have been fantastic, and it’s exciting to see the future of the women’s game continuing to grow.”

The club would like to thank all of the players, parents, coaches and volunteers who helped make the programme such a success.

The Manchester Swinton Lionesses Girls Development Pathway will return during the October half term, with further opportunities for girls to develop their skills and continue their rugby league journey.
