The Swinton Lionesses are excited to announce Haydock Warriors ARLFC as the official sponsor of their shorts for the upcoming season. This partnership underscores a shared commitment to the growth and development of women’s rugby league.

Jason Harborow, Chair of the Swinton Lionesses, expressed his gratitude for the partnership:

“We are delighted to welcome Haydock Warriors ARLFC as a key partner in supporting the Lionesses’ journey. Their dedication to advancing the women’s game aligns seamlessly with our vision. This sponsorship is more than just about financial support—it’s a symbol of shared ambition and collaboration. Together, we’re building a stronger future for women’s rugby league.”

Haydock Warriors ARLFC is a community rugby club, run by a dedicated group of volunteers, that provides playing opportunities at both youth and adult levels. The club boasts teams ranging from U8s and U11s boys to U13s and U14s girls, as well as men’s open-age teams.

Chris White, representing Haydock Warriors ARLFC, explained the club’s passion for supporting women’s rugby:

“Haydock Warriors ARLFC are proud to sponsor the Lionesses’ journey. At our club, we are deeply passionate about growing the women’s game, and we currently have 37 registered players across our U13s and U14s girls’ teams. Our ultimate goal is to run girls’ teams across all age groups. Working with the Lionesses has always been a pleasure, and recent discussions with Jason Harborow and Mark Robinson about their vision for the team inspired us to get more involved. We share the same values and commitment to the women’s game, so when the opportunity arose to support the Lionesses, it was an easy decision for us.”

In addition to this exciting sponsorship, Haydock Warriors ARLFC has also extended their support by sponsoring Mollee-Anne Pickering, one of the Lionesses’ standout players. This individual sponsorship highlights Haydock Warriors’ commitment to recognizing and nurturing exceptional talent within women’s rugby league.

This partnership represents an exciting step forward for both clubs, combining their efforts to inspire the next generation of female rugby league players and ensure the game continues to thrive.
