Another piece of the puzzle is in place as we’re delighted to confirm Bobby Shingler will be staying with the Lions for the 2027 season!

Bobby’s retention adds further depth to our forward pack as Anthony Murray continues to shape his squad for the upcoming campaign.

With more familiar faces committing their futures to Swinton and preparations for the new season gathering pace, there’s plenty to look forward to at Heywood Road!

“I’m delighted to have Bobby back on board with us at Swinton for another season. He’s still only 22 years old and is a good young middle who brings plenty of energy to the squad. Bobby works incredibly hard, has a fantastic attitude and is always willing to learn, which makes him a pleasure to coach.

“He’s shown some real progress already, and I’m sure he’ll be determined to keep improving. We believe there’s still plenty more to come from Bobby, and I’m looking forward to seeing how he continues to develop and the impact he can make throughout the 2027 season.”
