The Lions wheelchair first team made up for the disappointing defeat of the development team with a comprehensive win over the Wolves.
The Lions went on the attack from the kick off. Dan Robinson went on a run before passing the ball to Charlie Gordon who put Robin Cronshaw through a gap to score. Dan Robinson converted. The Lions launched their next attack from the restart with runs from Dan Robinson and Andy Unwin. Charlie Gordon put in a kick, but it was recovered by Harry Pennell who launched the Wolves first attack. The Lions turned over possession near the Wolves line on their next attack. Thomas James sent Harry Pennell through a gap to go three quarter the length of the field to score under the posts. Thomas James converted. The Wolves went back on the attack with runs from Harry Pennell and Thomas James. Poppy Cayton put a kick in towards the Swinton line which was recovered by Robin Cronshaw. The Lions went back into the lead after the Wolves turned over possession near the Lions line. Runs by Andy Unwin, Charlie Gordon, Ian Cronshaw and Dan Robinson got them close to the Wolves line. The ball was moved across to Andy Unwin, but he was unable to take the pass. The Wolves were then penalised for being offside on their next possession. Dan Robinson took the ball up before moving the ball out to Robin Cronshaw who was tackled short of the line. The ball was passed to Andy Unwin who switched it back to Robin Cronshaw to score in the corner. The conversion was missed. From the restart, Ian Cronshaw took the ball up close to halfway. Dan Robinson then sent Charlie Gordon through a gap to half the length of the pitch to score under the posts. Dan Robinson converted. The Lions turned the ball over deep in the Aber Valley half.
