Swinton Lions are delighted to announce the signing of exciting halfback 𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗮𝘄 ahead of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻! 
Ryan makes the step up from 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 in the NCL Premier Division, having previously been part of the 𝗪𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 and represented 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘀.
He also recently featured for 𝗪𝗶𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗩𝗶𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 against Sheffield Eagles, impressing in a Championship environment and earning his opportunity with the Lions.
𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗮𝘄:
“I’m made up to have signed for Swinton. I’m really looking forward to having a good pre-season, getting out on the field in front of the fans and showing what I can do.”

“Ryan is a great example of the opportunities that can come from the community game. He’s represented Thatto Heath with a lot of pride and has earned his chance to step up and test himself at a higher level.
He had the opportunity to play for Widnes Vikings in the midweek game and, importantly, he didn’t look out of place in a Championship environment. That performance showed us that Ryan has the ability to compete at this level and deserves the opportunity to continue developing.
Like a lot of players coming through the community game, he’s simply looking for the right opportunity to show what he can do. We’re looking forward to giving him that opportunity and seeing how far he can go.”
