“We felt it was important to bring in a player with the experience and game management to help us turn some of those close games that slipped away last season into wins. Lloyd is exactly the type of player who can make that difference.

He brings real versatility across the back line, along with a calm head and plenty of leadership. Having had two spells at Widnes, where he made 65 appearances, as well as 29 appearances for North Wales and 16 for Keighley, Lloyd has built up a wealth of experience that will be invaluable to our squad.

As well as his experience, Lloyd has a real understanding of the game and knows how to manage key moments. Those qualities are something every successful team needs, and I’m confident he’ll have a positive influence on the group.

I’m sure Lloyd will be a big addition for us at Swinton, and I’m looking forward to seeing him help guide this team both on and off the field throughout the season”

“I’m really looking forward to getting started with the group that muz and club have put together, I’m hopefully going to play my best rugby to help the group and the club achieve what they want to moving forwards. I have a lot of experience within’ the championship and I’m hoping to help this relatively young group to be competing every week in a very competitive league”
