History was made by the Swinton Lions Wheelchair team as they won their first ever league game. In doing so, four records were broken.

The Lions were soon on the attack with Dan Robinson and Jordan Parker both going close. A Dan Robinson kick was charged down. Owen Norton collected the ball and raced away to score under the posts. Karl Jacob converted. Rovers went back on the attack from the restart. Good runs by Karl Jacob, Matt Felmingham and Aaron Good allowed Owen Norton to cut through the Lions defence to score under the posts. Karl Jacob converted.  The Lions hit back when Rovers lost the ball at the restart and Jordan Parker went over to score. Dan Robinson converted. The Lions went back on the attack from the restart and were awarded a penalty for double tagging. Good runs by Jordan Parker, Dan Robinson and Andy Unwin got them close to the line. Quick hands by Andy Unwin, Jordan Parker and Dan Robinson sent Elina Parker in at the corner. Dan Robinson converted to score his 50th point for the club.  Hull KR went straight back on the attack. Good defence by the Lions kept them at bay. The Lions had more defending to do after conceding a penalty.  Rovers eventually scored when Aaron Good scored out wide on the last tackle. Karl Jacob was unable to add the extras. The Lions recovered the restart and were awarded a penalty. Jordan Parker and Dan Robinson quickly got the ball across to Andy Unwin whose pass around the back of a Rovers player to Elina Parker was adjudged to have gone forward.  The Lions were soon awarded a penalty. A run by Elina Parker got them close to the line. The ball was moved across to Dan Robinson who sent Jordan Parker over to score. Dan Robinson converted. The Rovers hit back straight away when the Lions allowed the restart to bounce into the in-goal area. Owen Norton reacted the quickest to score. Karl Jacob added the extras.

Good runs by Andy Unwin, Dan Robinson and Jordan Parker sent the Lions back on the attack with Elina Parker being tackled short of the line. The ball was moved across to Jordan Parker. He moved it on to Dan Robinson who drew in the defence before passing it back to Jordan Parker who sent Andy Unwin through a gap to score. Dan Robinson converted to put the Lions into the lead.  Hull KR recovered the ball from the restart. Aaron Good and Matt Felmingham combined to send Mia Morfitt in to score. Karl Jacob converted. Rovers lost the ball at the restart. This allowed Robin Cronshaw to attack down the wing. The ball was moved across to Jordan Parker whose pass to Andy Unwin allowed him to send Elina Parker in at the corner. Dan Robinson added the extras. Mia Morfitt recovered the kick off for Rovers. The ball was moved across the field to Aaron Good to score. The conversion was missed. Rovers’ next attack ended with a kick which was recovered by Elina Parker. Andy Unwin set up the Lions next attack. Dan Robinson sent Robin Cronshaw away on a sixteen-metre run to score in the corner. The conversion was missed. The Lions were penalised for double tagging. Aaron Good set up Rovers next attack before passing the ball out to Matt Felmingham who sent Karl Jacob in at the corner. He converted his own try. Robin Cronshaw recovered the restart. The ball was moved across to Dan Robinson who switched the ball back to Robin Cronshaw who scored in the corner. Dan Robinson converted to put the Lions a two-point lead at half time.

The Lions started slowly at the start of the second half. A penalty allowed Rovers to attack the Swinton line. A Jack Powdrell pass out to Colin Smith-Bowen allowed him to send Owen Norton over to score in the corner. Jack Powdrell missed the conversion attempt. Rovers knocked the ball on at the restart which allowed Robin Cronshaw to set up the Lions next attack.  Dan Robinson moved the ball out to Jordan Parker whose pass out to Robin Cronshaw couldn’t be taken with an open line. The Lions were then penalised for double tagging. Colin Smith-Bowen took the ball up before passing it out to Aaron Good who scored in the corner. Mia Morfitt missed the conversion. A Lions loose pass on their next attack was collected by Mia Morfitt who went twenty-four metres to score. Jack Powdrell converted. Rovers were then awarded a penalty for a foul on Mia Morfitt in the act of scoring. She converted the penalty. They scored again straight from the kick off when Owen Norton went around the outside of the Lions defence to score. Jack Powdrell converted. The Lions hit back on their next attack. Runs by Jordan Parker and Martin Beddis got them in good field position. The ball was moved across to Dan Robinson who weaved his way through the defence to score.  He converted his own try which gave him the goals in a game and points in a game record.

They scored again from the restart.  Andy Unwin and Robin Cronshaw got the Lions in good field position before passing the ball out to Dan Robinson who sent Jordan Parker over to score. Dan Robinson converted. Rovers recovered the kick off with Matt Felmingham going on the attack. A penalty for double tagging allowed him to kick a penalty goal. From the kick off, Owen Norton went down the wing to extend Rovers’ lead. The conversion was missed. A Rovers knock on sent the Lions back on the attack. Martin Beddis went on a run before the ball was moved across to Jordan Parker who sent Dan Robinson in to score. He converted his own try. The Lions were awarded a penalty on their next attack. Runs by Andy Unwin and Dan Robinson allowed Jordan Parker to score. Dan Robinson converted.  The ions launched another attack with runs from Andy Unwin and Martin Beddis. The ball was moved across to Robin Cronshaw who was tackled into touch whilst trying to score.  From the tap restart, the ball went to Matt Felmingham who cut through the Lions defence to go half the length of the field to score. Mia Morfitt converted. Rovers lost the ball on their next attack. Runs by Andy Unwin and Jordan Parker got them close to the Rovers line. A Dan Robinson pass sent Jordan Parker in to score. In doing so, he broke the tries in a game record. Dan Robinson converted. The Lions launched another attack with runs from Andy Unwin, Jordan Parker and Dan Robinson. Ian Cronshaw was tackled short of the line. The Lions were then awarded a penalty. The ball was then moved across to Jordan Parker who went over to score. Dan Robinson converted to put the Lions back into the lead.  A Dan Robinson kick on the Lions next attack was taken by Aaron Good in his own in-goal area. Ian Cronshaw tackled him before he could get back into the field of play. Rovers knocked on trying the drop out. From the handover, the ball was moved across to Jordan Parker to score. Dan Robinson converted to give the Lions a hard-earned win.
