We’re delighted to welcome Pat Ah Van to the Lions!
Head Coach Muzza shared his thoughts on the signing:
“I’m absolutely delighted to be working with Pat again. He’s a player I know well, and his experience speaks for itself. Representing Samoa, along with his time at the New Zealand Warriors where he made 54 NRL appearances, shows the level he’s performed at throughout his career.
He’s also had strong spells in the UK with Bradford Bulls and Widnes Vikings in Super League, as well as representing North Wales Crusaders.
Pat brings a huge amount of experience to the group, but just as importantly, he still has a massive appetite for the game. His attitude and professionalism will be a big asset for us, and I’m confident he’ll have a really positive impact on the squad.”
Pat is equally excited to get started:
“I’m really pleased to be joining the Lions. I’ve worked with Muzza before and when the opportunity came to link up again at such a historic club, it was an easy decision.
I’ve been really welcomed into the group, which is full of young and exciting talent, and I can’t wait to take the field alongside them.”
Welcome to the Lions, Pat!

We’re pleased to welcome Dante Morley-Samuels to the Lions!
Head Coach Muzza had this to say:
“I’m pleased to bring Dante into the squad. He’s someone I’ve worked with before during our time at North Wales Crusaders, so I know exactly what he brings both on and off the field.
Due to a career change, Dante had to step away from the professional game for a period, but he’s shown real commitment and resilience by continuing to perform at a high level with Wigan St Jude’s. He’s been ever-present there and played a key role in their promotion, which says a lot about his character and consistency.
He’s a versatile player with a strong work ethic, and those are qualities we really value as a group. I’m confident he’ll fit in well and be a very good addition to the team moving forward.”
Dante is ready to get going:
“I’m excited to join a team with a history as rich as Swinton’s. The decision was made easy with the opportunity to work with Muzz again—he has the ability to bring the best out of his players and it’s a great opportunity for me to develop my game.
The lads and staff have been great with how they’ve welcomed me into the group and I can’t wait to compete alongside them.”

We’re pleased to announce that Kieran Taylor has joined us on an initial two-week loan.
Kieran made the move to Widnes from Crusaders at the start of this season, and we’re looking forward to seeing the impact he can make for us.
A big thank you to Allan Coleman and everyone at Widnes for helping facilitate the deal
