It was records galore for the Lionesses as they recorded their biggest ever win. Eve Ashcroft made her 50th appearance for the club. She also scored her 100th point. In doing so, she broke the Lionesses record for the most goals in a game and most points in a game. Grace Pritchard scored her 50th point and equalled the number of tries scored in a game.
It only took 36 seconds for the Lionesses to open the scoring. Sammi Simpson took the ball up towards halfway from the kick off. The ball was moved out to Kerrie Evans who broke through the Castleford defence to go on a 55-metre run to score. Eve Ashcroft added the conversion. From the restart, the ball was given to Eleanor Atherton to drive the ball up. Abbie Singleton went on a run before moving the ball onto Eve Ashcroft. The ball was moved across to Grace Arrowsmith who sent Grace Pritchard in at the corner. The conversion was missed. The Tiger’s restart was again given to Eleanor Atherton to drive up.
