Swinton Lions Announce Chris Carver Appointment to Board and Ownership Group
Swinton Lions are pleased to announce the addition of Chris Carver to the Club’s Board of Directors and ownership group.
Chris brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, having advised and worked with some of the largest institutional real estate owners globally, and will play a leading role in developing the Club’s asset base, strengthening the business and driving long-term success.
As an Australian based in Singapore, Chris will also bring an international perspective and a focus on leveraging Swinton Lions’ links outside the UK, in particular opportunities in Australia and the wider Pacific region.
Chris Carver said:

“Swinton Lions is one of the oldest and most historic clubs in rugby league, and it is an absolute honour to be involved in helping shape a new future for the Club.
To our fans, I understand how disappointing this season has been. Improving the team on the field is an immediate priority, and nobody is satisfied with where things currently stand. In the end, our actions need to speak louder than our words.
I hope to meet and speak with many of you soon. The Swinton Lions need to be front and centre in the community across Swinton, the M27 and ultimately Greater Manchester. We will be rolling out new initiatives over the course of this year, and we greatly appreciate your continued support.”
CEO Steve Wild said:
“Chris brings a strong commercial background, strategic thinking and a genuine commitment to Swinton Lions. We are very pleased to welcome him to the Board and ownership group as we continue our work to strengthen the Club on and off the field.
Chris’ interest in the club was no doubt influenced by our proud heritage, the responsible way we have managed the club, and the enormous potential we believe exists to build something much bigger in the years ahead. We are thrilled to welcome him on board.”
