Another historic day in the history of Swinton Lions as the wheelchair team took to the field for their first ever home game.

Bradford had the first chance to score in the 3rd minute when Nellie broke away down the wing. A last-ditch tackle by Joel Dyer prevented her from scoring in the corner. Nice inter passing by Kieron Lacey and Jamie Edmondson-Jones set up a Lions attack in the 6th minute. The ball was moved across the field but the final pass to Andrew Unwin could not be taken. The Lions were first to score in the 8th minute. Jamie Edmondson-Jones was first to a Dan Robinson kick to score. Dan Robinson was unable to convert. Bradford levelled the scores six minutes later when Isabelle weaved her way through the Lions defence to score. Darren Walker was unable to convert.

The Lions thought they had scored again in the 17th minute. Dan Robinson put a kick through the Bulls defence. Kieron Lacey chased the ball to touch down but, he was deemed to have knocked on. The Bulls went back on the attack. Richard Wright put in a kick after a weaving run. The Lions were forced to knock the ball dead in goal. From the resulting drop out, Michael crossed the line to score. He was unable to convert his own try. The scores were level again four minutes later. The Bulls knocked on coming out of defence. The Lions attacked the Bulls line. Dan Robinson was stopped just short of the line. The ball was moved out to Joel Dyer to score. Again, the conversion was missed. Michael recovered the restart for the Bulls. The ball was moved out to Daniel who weaved his way to the line to score. Michael added the extras to give the Bulls a 14-8 lead. The Bulls scored again on the stroke of half time when Richard Wright broke down the wing to score.

The Bulls were first to score in the second half. The Lions conceded a penalty which sent the Bulls back on the attack. The ball eventually moved out to Ellie to score. Daniel added the extras. They scored again two minutes later when Darren Walker weaved his way through the Lions defence to score. He was unable to convert his own try. The Bulls now led 28-8.

The Bulls scored again five minutes later when Michael crossed to score. He was unable to convert his own try. The Lions fight back began five minutes later when Kieron Lacey was put through a gap to score. The conversion was missed. The Lions scored again four minutes later when the ball was moved out wide to Elliott Robinson who scored with his first touch of the ball. He converted his own try. The restart went to Elliott Robinson who went straight down the other end of the field to score. Dan Robinson added the extras.
