Swinton Lions would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Dan Abram for his outstanding service and commitment to the club over the years.
Dan has been a model professional throughout his time at the Lions, showing not only great dedication to his craft but also strong leadership qualities both on and off the field. He has set a fine example to younger players coming through and has been a valued senior member of our squad.
The 2025 season took a slightly different direction for Dan as he spent a period on loan with Whitehaven. This decision reflected the club’s commitment to giving opportunities to younger players, but it also gave Dan the chance to continue playing regular rugby league at a high level. His attitude and professionalism during this time were exemplary, and he handled the situation with real dignity.
A huge milestone came for Dan this year, as he proudly reached 200 senior appearances in the professional game and also surpassed 600 career points for the Lions – achievements that speak volumes about his quality, longevity, and dedication to rugby league. Everyone connected with Swinton Lions congratulates him on reaching such fantastic landmarks.
Dan leaves the club with our very best wishes for the future, and we thank him wholeheartedly for his service, commitment, and leadership in the Lions shirt.

On behalf of everyone at Swinton Lions, we would like to sincerely thank Jordan Paga for his efforts and commitment during the 2025 season.
From the very first day of the 2024 pre-season, Jordan has shown nothing but professionalism and dedication to the club. His tireless work ethic and determination to keep improving have been clear for all to see, and he has been a true credit to himself and the team.
One moment that will always be remembered came in the very first league game of the 2025 season, when Jordan stepped in at the last minute and scored the opening try against Whitehaven — setting us on the road to victory. It was a brilliant reflection of his readiness, character, and ability to seize the moment when the team needed him most.
This season, Jordan has also faced challenges and adversity, but the way he has conducted himself has been outstanding. He should be extremely proud of the resilience and character he has displayed throughout 2025.
We thank Jordan for everything he has contributed to the Lions and wish him every success for the 2026 season and beyond.

A huge thank you to Danny Lynch for his commitment and effort throughout the 2025 season.
Danny joined us alongside Aaron Lynch and from day one, he’s been the ultimate professional. An absolute delight to coach—always pushing himself outside of his comfort zone, giving 100% in training, and setting the standard with his attitude.
Although opportunities on the pitch were limited, when he did play, we were really pleased with his progress. More importantly, he’s been a fantastic teammate and a “good lad” to have around all year.
I fully understand Danny’s decision to move on next season where he’ll no doubt find more game time and opportunities to grow as a player. He leaves with our very best wishes and full support—and we’ll be cheering him on throughout the 2026 season.
Thanks again, Danny. It’s been a real pleasure
