Sam is a Wigan-born prop-forward with a proven track record of success at the top end of the Championship with Halifax, Featherstone Rovers and Leigh. Sam also gained Super League experience with Widnes, and is a full Scottish international. 26 years old Sam emerged through the academy system at Wigan before joining Halifax in 2014. He then had a spell with Whitehaven, before joining the then Super League outfit Widnes Vikings. In 2017 and 2018 he was one of the Championship’s stand-out performers whilst with Featherstone Rovers, a reputation that he took to Leigh last year where he made 24 appearances. Sam is a non-nonsense and tough character, and will be looking to provide the forward momentum in the Lions’ engine room.
