In 2004 and at the age of just 16 Scott made history as the youngest player to make his debut in Super League when he took to the field with St Helens. He went on to make 73 appearances for Saints over a span of seven years. During that time he gained two England caps, and also had extensive loan periods with Castleford and Huddersfield. In 2009 he was named at hooker in the Super League dream team.

In 2013 Scott signed for top NRL side North Queensland Cowboys, but returned to England in 2014 with London Broncos. After spells with Castleford and Wakefield Trinity, in 2017 Scott signed for Championship outfit Bradford Bulls for whom he made 25 appearances. He then joined the Lions in June 2019 from Rochdale Hornets in a swap deal for Kyle Shelford.

Now aged 31, Scott has primarily made his name as an aggressive and go-forward number 9, but he can also provide an excellent option at half-back.
