Paddy made a big impact on his debut, when the Lions achieved an exciting one-point win over Dewsbury in July 2018. Coincidentally Paddy had come to Swinton after leaving the same Yorkshire side due to travelling difficulties. Paddy is a Liverpudlian who first emerged through the Wigan Academy system, before enjoying a period playing in the French Elite League with Villeneuve, as well as having a spell with Rochdale Hornets. Following his Swinton debut he continued to make a solid impression and the Lions subsequently signed Paddy on a permanent contract for the 2019 season. He is a tough and uncompromising forward who never takes a backward step.
