Here’s the latest preview as the Lions face Halifax RLFC in the Betfred Championship.

Swinton Lions return to Heywood Road for the first time since July to face Halifax RLFC in the Betfred Championship.

Stuart Littler’s side face 8th-placed Halifax at Heywood Road, with just two-point separating the sides.

Here’s the latest preview…

The Lions suffered a heavy defeat to Featherstone Rovers in a rare off-day for the side, conceding 66-points at the LD Nutrition Stadium. Jack Hansen, Rob Fairclough and Luke Waterworth all crossed for Swinton tries on the day.

Littler’s side currently sit 10th in the Betfred Championship, and a victory over Halifax could take them on joint-points in the ladder.

Psst…there’s going to be some special contract news following the game. Keep an eye out on our social feeds tomorrow.

Halifax most recently suffered a close defeat against Wembley-bound Sheffield Eagles at The Shay with a scoreline of 20-18, with tries from Shaun Robinson, Scott Grix and Steve Tyrer.

The sides last met in round five of the Championship, with just two-points the difference at full time
