It was the first time since 1994 away to Highfield that Swinton have managed to prevent the opposition from scoring a single point on their own turf, so head coach Stuart Littler will be very pleased with his side’s performance.
Despite Sunday’s game being against a more established side than Whitehaven, if you consider Swinton’s win in their last home game against the Rams and the strong start to the campaign they’ve made, the Lions will be confident of getting another win on Sunday.
So come in numbers, get behind your Lions and let’s make Heywood Road an intimidating place for the opposition to come to.
Swinton have won just three of the last 10 meetings between the two sides, their last victory coming in the most recent league tie between the two at Heywood Road in May 2019.
Last five meetings:
Dewsbury 44, Swinton 26 (1895C-R2, 2/6/19)
Swinton 22, Dewsbury 17 (ChR15, 26/5/19)
Dewsbury 38, Swinton 24 (ChR3, 17/2/19)
Dewsbury 40, Swinton 7 (CSR1, 12/8/18)
Swinton 29, Dewsbury 28 (ChR19, 1/7/18)
Stuart Littler makes one change to his squad from Sunday’s victory at the Recreation Ground as Tayler Brown replace Ryan Gray.
