LIONS TO EXPAND WELL-BEING AND MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE

12 November 2020

Swinton Lions RLFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Paula Kenny, who will join the club in a non-executive director capacity.

Paula Kenny is a highly qualified psychotherapist in private practice, and in particular has extensive experience within the field of mental health.

“I am excited to be joining the Swinton Lions family!”

Upon agreeing to assist the Lions Paula said, “I am very excited to be joining the Swinton Lions family and to be part of such a progressive organisation that is evidently extremely serious about supporting the wellbeing of its players, staff and supporters.”

“The Lions’ Operations Director Steve Wild added. “We are really thrilled that Paula has agreed to join our club in a non-executive management role.

“The current pandemic is sufficient reminder, should it be needed, that many organisations, no matter what their field, need to step up to the plate in looking after the welfare of their most important commodity – its people.

“We pride ourselves on being a family club as well as a professional club, and Paula’s input will add another dimension to that philosophy.

“Over the coming weeks and months Paula’s experience and expertise will not just be available to everyone within our club family, but she also will be helping to drive some innovative programmes around welfare and mental health in the Swinton Lions name which will benefit the wider community.”

Welcome to Swinton, Paula!
