Bourouh and Whitehead to be included in squad for weekend

We are delighted to confirm the completion of two short-term loan deals with Super League clubs ahead of our tough trip to Odsal to face Bradford Bulls this coming Sunday.

The news is particularly welcome following our well-publicised injury news, which was reported at length on the Lions’ social media earlier this week.

From Salford Reds we welcome hooker Amir Bourouh, whose arrival will ease the pain of losing both George Roby and Luke Waterworth for different reasons over the past couple of weeks.

Amir is 22 years old and made nine Super League appearances for Wigan Warriors during the period 2019 to 2021, before signing for Salford ahead of the 2022 season where he played seven times. He also had an extended loan spell at Halifax last year, and has played on loan at Barrow earlier this season.

Then from Warrington Wolves we welcome Tom Whitehead, a 20 years old second-rower. Tom made his Super League debut for the Wolves last season and has a very bright future in the sport.

We’d like to thank our friends at both the Salford and Warrington clubs for their assistance in making both loans possible.
