HORNETS CLASH MOVED TO ROCHDALE MAYFIELD

The venue for Swinton Lions’ Championship clash against Rochdale Hornets has changed due to delays in remedial work to the pitch at the Crown Oil Arena.

Swinton Lions’ Championship clash against local rivals Rochdale Hornets has been moved to neighbours Rochdale Mayfield’s home ground.

The Rugby Football League has today granted dispensation and approved the use of the stadium, on Steve Gartland Way in Castleton (postcode OL11 3AG), after it was confirmed that the Crown Oil Arena was unavailable.

Rochdale Hornets have pointed to delays in the remedial work to the pitch at the Crown Oil Arena have made the surface unplayable.

Admission prices for the match, which will be on a cash only gate, will be reduced to £15 for adults, £10 concessions and free for under-16s.

Car parking is available on site on a first come, first served basis, with overflow parking available at the nearby community centre, post code OL11 3AF. The game will KO at 3pm as normal.
