As Swinton Lions fans will no doubt already be fully aware, our main club sponsor for the past couple of seasons has been Glossop Caravans, who have a huge complex on the main A57 just outside of Glossop.
Since their inception back in 1976, Glossop Caravans has become one of the UK’s largest dealers in caravans, motor homes, statics and indeed all things caravan related, and more recently have been wonderful supporters of our club. Managing Director Stan Laing, is of course himself a former Swinton Lion, and he remembers well such illustrious team mates as Ken Gowers and Dave Robinson.
With such close ties existing between Glossop Caravans and Swinton Lions, it was especially heart-warming for the club to made aware of the following account, which has been shared by life-long Swinton supporters Rhys and Denise Griffiths, who themselves are enthusiastic caravanners!
Rhys takes up the story, “We would like to share our recent positive experiences of dealing with one of our club sponsors, Glossop Caravans.
“As you may know, Denise and I are keen caravanners and have coupled our pastime with following Swinton Lions to places as far away as Toulouse and Cornwall as well as lessor known holiday destinations like Dewsbury and Hull!
“We have been camping and caravanning for over 40 years and during that time have bought seven units, (the last four brand new). Each previous unit we’ve purchased was from a different dealer. We’ve never gone back to one that we’d used before because of poor customer experiences.
“Until last year we’d never been Glossop Caravans, but with their logo on our shirts it was an obvious choice for us to consider them when the time came to replace our old caravan.
We collected our new van from Glossop recently and honestly wish we’d used them years ago. We always shop around for any major purchases and found we couldn’t beat them on price. On top of that the customer service we’ve received from them from start to finish has been exemplary.
“Over the past few months we’ve dealt with staff from their sales, finance, accessories, awnings, workshop and finally dispatch departments and at every step of the way, without exception, the staff we’ve dealt with have been so friendly and helpful. In fact they have gone above and beyond our expectations and we will definitely be using Glossop Caravans again.
