AUSTIN SIDELINED FOLLOWING NECK OPERATION

22 February 2019

Swinton Lions can confirm that forward Ben Austin has had successful operation on his neck and it set for a period on the sidelines.

The club can confirm that forward Ben Austin has had a successful operation following a neck injury.

An early diagnosis suggests that Ben will be out of action for around six months and club physiotherapist Lyndsey and her medical team are putting a recovery process in place with the doctors.

The club wishes Ben a speedy recovery and we hope to see him on the pitch in the near future.

Club Chairman Andy Mazey said: “On behalf of everyone at Swinton Lions we would like to wish Ben a full and speedy recover following his recent operation. Ben is now recovering from being in hospital and Lyndsey and our staff are working on his recovery process with the doctors.

“I’m sure he’s looking forward to getting home and will be in safe hands with Jaide and Luca looking after him. Best Wishes Benny!”
