Salford Red Devils forward Adam Lawton has extended his loan deal with Swinton Lions on a week-by-week basis.
Swinton Lions are delighted to confirm that the loan deal of Adam Lawton has been extended following his initial months agreement.
The powerful forward featured for the Lions in all four-games since joining Stuart Littler’s side, and has added strength and experience to the pack.
On the extension, Lawton added: “I’m loving my time here and feeling better each week.
“It’s a great bunch of lads and I love the expansive rugby that the Lions play throwing the ball about.
“The never say die attitude shown last week proves we should be higher up the table. Hopefully a good cup run to Wembley is yet to come for the lads, starting tomorrow at Dewsbury.”
Lawton has been named by Stuart Littler in the 19-man squad for tomorrow’s 1895 Cup clash at the Tetley’s Stadium.
The club would also like to thank Pride Builder, who have helped secure the services of the talented prop.
“Adam’s initial loan period ended after the Dewsbury fixture, but thanks to Pride Builder we’ve been able to extend this to a week-to-week basis with Salford,” Chairman Andy Mazey added.
“We would all like to thank Pride Builder for their fantastic continued support.”
The Lions travel to the Tetley’s Stadium to face Dewsbury Rams in the second round of the 1895 Cup on Sunday June 2.
