OBITUARY – MIKE PEERS
Mike Peers joined the Lions in September 1981 from hometown club Warrington for whom he had made 55 first team appearances. Mike was a “players’ player”, operating as a natural loose forward. Mike had the lot, a good rugby brain, great hands, sidestep and an astute kicking game.

At Swinton Lions we are proud and thrilled to announce that just six months after forming our female teams, two of our “Lionesses” have been selected at international level, with both Maddie Corrigan and Holly Grimes being brought into the Ireland train-on squad for 2021 and 2022.

Swinton Lions RLFC can confirm that former Assistant Coach Allan Coleman, who was recently placed in temporary charge until the end of the current season, has now been formally appointed as Head Coach until at least the end of the 2022 campaign.
